Piece of Madrid

Soo I'm now in Sweden again! So weird! I'm still dreaming of travelling and sleeping in hostels.

But yeah, Madrid! We stayed there 6 nights instead of 2 nights. We didn't do that much, just enjoyed warm weather and spanish food.

Every morning we packed our bags and thought that 'today we're gonna travel to France' But nooo..:( First night our hostel was so terrible. Only plus was free paella and sangria :D Following days we stayed at the same hostel as our australian friends and that was nice! 14€ per night and very clean and cool! One night there were no beds left and we were so tired to change hostel so we slept in the cinema room...haha it was fun:D I fell asleep but sanni kept drinking sangria and talking with britties:)) and the last night we booked just one bed to save money.. I woke up at 4.30am and we were out so one bed was enough!

Days we spent in the big park, shopping, eating churros and spanish tortilla. Sanni diyed her hair and I took a manicure. And then we just chilled at the hostel. In the evenings we ate tapas and sangria, aussies taught us some new drinking games and last night we tried to follow the pub crawl but it didn't work so well :( but we had still funny!

Almost one week in Madrid was so enough... So good that the sun was shining and it was warm, so we just enjoyed that:D

More pictures and information about our interrail when I just get back home and get my computer...! Now I'm using my last interrail travels and enjoying the life in Värmland, in Sweden:-)

Jees, eli Ruotsissa nyt ollaan taas! Ihan super outoo, nään vieläki unta, että kiertelen kaupunkeja ja nukun hostellissa :D ja oon ollu Stokikses viimeks melkeen 2kk sitte!!

Mut nyt Madridiin.
Eli viikko sitten lauantaina saavuttiin Madridiin. Tarkotus oli olla 2-3 yötä, mutta jäätiiki sit lukkoo sinne se 6:ks yöks... Ihan hirveesti ei mitään kaupunkii jaksettu käydä läpi, ku kumpaakaa ei oikeen kiinnostanu nähdä mitään museoita tai hienoja rakennuksia, ku niit tuli jo muutenki nähtyy.

Joka aamu pakattiin rinkat. Ekan yön hostelli oli niin hirvee, ett päätettiin siel olla vaan se yks yö. Ainoo plussa siellä oli ilmanen paella- ja sangria-ilta;) Lähettiin sit toiseen hostelliin, mis oli aussit joihin tutustuttiin Barcelonassa. Ja se hostelli oli kyl todellaki hintansa väärti! 14€/yö ja tosi siisti ja kiva. Mut meinattiin sit lähtee sen tokan yön jälkeen, mutta päädyttiinkin jäämää ja jouduttiin vaihtaa huonet.

Aamulla taas pakattiin, tällä kertaa aikeena tosiaan suunnata Pariisiin. Kuitenki klo.23 respa ja hostellin asukkaat yllätty, ku oltiin jo taas takas, nyt kuitenki syynä passittomuus :(( Seuraavana päivänä pakattiin taas, mutta yllätysylläty ei päästy lähtee. Joten yks yö lisää. Tällä kertaa tuli vähä muitaki yllätyksii. Hostelli buukattu ihan täyteen. Eikä jaksettu vaihtaa... Respas sanottiin, ett voidaan me odottaa 2 asti yöhön ja kysyy onks sillon vapautunu sänkyi. Jäätiin siis hengaa hostellille ja tutustuu uusiin ihmisiin. Päätettiin sit kuitenki nukkuu koko yö siel leffahuonees...:D Hyvin me siel nukuttiin! Leffat pyöri koko yön, mä nukahdin, Sanni jäi viel juomaa sangriaa ja juttelee brittien kaa. Aamul herättiin meikit naamalla, hampaat pesemättöminä :D Sika hauska kokemus!!!

Vikaks yöks oli vaan yks sänky vapaana, joten sniikattiinpa taas ja otettiin vaan se yks sänky ja jaettiin... Ei olis ollu mitään järkee ottaa kaht kallist sänkyy, koska ilta meni ulkona ja mul oli herätys jo 5.00. Se hostelli oli kuitenki niin iso, että siel tuli ja meni koko ajan ihmisii... Tultiin kuitenki tutuks respan henkilökunnalle:D

Sitten päiviin. Eka päivä Madridissa oli ihana! Oli sunnuntai ja mentiin Retiro-puistoon. Aurinko paisto ja kaikki oli ulkona. Musiikki soi, puiston kadut täynnä kojuja, joista sai ostettuu sipsii, karkkii, pähkinöitä yms. Ihmiset tosi rentoja ja nautti kauniista sunnuntaipäivästä! Samana päivänä sattu olee myös pyöräilykisat. Oli ihan sika hauskaa! Kadut pörräs ihmisii ja mainosautot ajeli ja heitteli lippiksii, kännykän suojii ja noit kannustusjuttuja (kuvassa). Saatiin myös juomamaistiasii. Ja nähtiin me sitte ne pyöräilijätki! Mun elämän eka kerta :D Ajo iha hulluu vauhtii!

Toinen päivä kulutettiin shoppailee. Loppupäivinä aika meni passin ja muiden asioiden järjestelyyn. Sanni kävi kuitenkin kampaajalla ja mä manikyyrissa. Käytiin kans syömässä churrosei ja espanjalaista tortillaa (niistä kuvat vaan kameralla, tulee myöhemmin...).

Madrid-aikana opittiin uusia juomapelejä, jotka aussit opetti meille! Ihan superkivoi ja ihanaa oppii jotain uutta:D Niitä pelaillessa meni sitte pari iltaa :) Käytiin kans aussien kaa tapaksilla ja sangrialla, jotka viikon jälkeen alko tulee jo ulos korvista:D Vikana iltana yritettiin followaa sangria-illan jälkeen pub crawlin mukana sisään baariin, muttei onnistunu... Suunnattiin sitte mäkin kautta hostellille...Mut oli meil silti hauskaa!

Vähän meinattiin tulla hulluks Madridissa, ku mieli teki jatkaa eteenpäin, mut ei päästy. Nautittiin kuitenkin auringosta ja +30 asteen lämmösta :)

Mun matka jatku perjantaina eka Madridista Barcelonaan junalla, josta koneella Oslon kautta Stokikseen.

Lisää ja parempia kuvia ja enemmän tietoa meijän reilistä viimestään viikon päästä, ku pääsen koneelle siirtää mun kameralta kuvat! Mä suuntaan nyt Värmlandiin ja käytän mun loput junamatkat :)

Way back home

Hi all!

We stayed in Madrid until Friday and solved out some things. New passport 165, way out from spain to france 70, new interrail card 181 and spending money, according to our budget 300. Also flight/boat to sweden would have cost something.

Altogeher, continueing was impossible. I lost half of my cash money and my credit card. Incurance MIGHT pay me afterwards if they have enough evidence. Well, if.....

So I flew back home and Henu flew to Stockholm to Fredu's. I might join them next week, cuz thats the only place i get without passport.

Anyway, i got an experience, i saw a lot europe, even not as much as i was supposed to, but anyway we had a great time and we met so amazing people!

Henu will use her interrail card travelling in Sweden. She van also visit museums with 50% discount. Sje didnt want to continue interrailing alone.

If i end up to sweden in this becoming week we will definitely make a post of it !!

Also whats coming later this autumn:
my revisit to London & also Nottingham where my friend goes to Uni!

Shit happens..

Our interrail has gone to its end. Probably.

Yesterday evening we tried to find our way to Paris, where we accually had accomodation already, but there was a strike going on. We sat a bit and desided to go to bus station. We found one bus that was leaving in 45 minutes to Paris. Then...

Suddenly I couldnt find my passport case anywhere. It was stolen on our way to busstation...not only my passport, also my credit card, insurance card and interrail global pass. SHIT.

i ran everywhere trying to find it. I filled some papers at police station and closed my bank account.

We couldnt do anything else in the evening time so Henu took me to McDonalds trying to cheer me up and then we went back to the hostel we stayed before.

Today i went to Finland's embacy in Madrid. They could make me new "part time" passport that costs 165 euros. Back in Finland i needed to make a new one, full time passport. And also pay for that.

Or..I could fly straight back home without a passport, only with the copy of it.

Of course id like to keep on interrailing, but my british account is still not working (ive called hubdred times), trains are expensive without global interrail pass and not even available atm in spain and even the BUS to paris costs 70 euros.

My insurance company couldnt help me this morning, they promised to call me later after checking out my insurance. Its already closed and i never got the call. I called them two times before closing but no can do.

Hopeless, isnt it?

We have travelled more than we have forward, so its positive. We are both ill as well..Somehow its not the end of the world to end the interrail up here, but we had planned so much already that its so shame!!!

Tomorrow ill know more. Ill let u know whats happening. One more problem is the full booked hostel..Äshhh.

Pps. Henu takes the situation very calm. She said its fine to go sooner to Sweden to meet Fredu again and that we experienced so much already by now. We r thinking to have like 5 travels interrail trip and see the cities we r gonna miss now.

Ppps. Suurlähetystös sanottii et ollaa ilosimmat ryöstetyt mitä se on tavannu:D ei siis olla mitenkää ilosii tilanteest mut nautitaa hellepäivist täällä ja avuliaist ihmisist ja otetaa koko juttu vaa kokemuksena..Itkut on itketty ja nyt vaa ihmetellää miten pääsen poistuu maasta !

¡Hola Barcelona!

Saavuttiin Barcelonaan Avignonin ja Portboun kautta keskiviikko-iltana. Muutaman kyselykerran jälkeen löydettiin lopulta Las Ramblasilt meijän hostellille, jota meille oli suositeltu. Hostellin nimi oli Be Sound-hostel ja sijaitsi siis ihan keskustassa rantojen ja kauppojen lähellä. Yks yö makso 15€ ja sisäls aamiaisen. Paras hostelli tähän mennessä! Nuorii täynnä ja respatyypit chillei:)

Päivät kulu shoppaillen ja rannalla ja käytiin me ilmasel walking tourilki. Eka ilta oltiin hostellilla muiden kaa, tokana käytiin tapaksella ja jatkettiin paikkaan jossa saatiin ilmaseks sangriaa. Perjantai-ilta meniki sit vähä railakkaammin. Osallistuttiin pub crawlille, johon kuulu kaks baarii ja vikaks vip-pääsy Barcelonan kuuluisimmalle klubille. Oli ihan superkiva päätös Barcelonalle! Aamulla Fredu lähtiki sit kotiin Stokikseen ja me jäätiin Sannin kaa jatkaa reissuu:)

Nyt saavuttu Madridiin, josta myöhemmin lisää!

We arrived Barcelona wednesday evening via Avignon and Portbou cities. Before we found our hostel we needed to ask a few times how to get there. It was all worth it, cost only 15€/night, including breakfast. Staff was so helpful and atmosphere the chillest. Visitors were all young so altogether it was the best hostel during our trip. It's name is Be Sound, we were recommended to stay there by our friends. Location was not only near the beach, but also next to La Ramblas and shopping streets around.

We spent the days on the beach and shopping, we also took a part of free walking tour. First evening we hung out with other people at hostel on the roof top terrace. The second night we had a great local tapas dinner and free sangria night at pub. Friday night was the wildest, we joined the pub crawl: two bars and one famous club called Opium. Shots and vip entrance included;) Super fun ending of our Barcelona days!

Early in the morning Fredu flew back home and we'll keep on travelling just us two;)

Now we have arrived Madrid. So see u later alligators;)

FRANCE

Here's France as we promised!

We went from Milan along the coast to Nice where we stayed couple of hours. Havung lunch and seeing the beach, city ....During the train trip we saw Monaco, St.Raphael, Cannes and all small cute beach cities. So amazing, we've never been travelling the train between mountain and the sea!

Well im the evening we arrived "dangerous" Marseille. We just hanged out, went to store, drank couoke of beers and ebjoy the nice beds. The day we spent on the beach and city walking.

In the evening we went to restaurant steet, had a take away picnic in the park, drank also a bit and ended up to the bar called 'Petit Nice' which is the cheapest in Marseille. It was full of locals and cheap drinks. AWESOME NIGHT!

Leaving was before seven...We suffered the hangover and surprisingly the train was LATE! one hour...So nice morning at the railway station. Finally we started the trip to Barcelona at 9....

So next post will be SPAINPOST!

ITAAALIA

Here again!

After Croatia we went to Ancona, Italy, by boat. We spent couple of hours on the local, amazing beautiful beach. Then we sat down for coffees and ice creams and continued to Venice in the afternoon.

We arrived in Venice (via bologna) late in the evening. We started to look for hostel/one star hotels but all of them were full/expensive. Finally we got advise, found a cheap nice hostel just close to centre.

There we stayed two nights. Venice were awesome, full of tourists though. Yesterday we took a train to Verona, city of Romeo&Julia. We spent few hours there and got back to the train.

Now we are in Milan, for the first time staying in a Hotel, kinda near the city centre. We like the place a lot so we are gonna stay another night here. Heh, we still have more than two weeks left.

More croatia..

Here's the second day in Split, Croatia. We found locals' rocky beach and walked to the mountain. Now Fredrik has arrived, we ate and went to sandy beach for beers. Its been long day and we've done and seen a lot the city now. Its time to leave Croatia and step to the boat...
