10+1 WAYS TO PARTY IN LONDON

Maailman bilekaupunki nro 1 on tosiaanki avannu porttinsa mulle. Tässä pari tapaa pitää hauskaa Lontoos, osa testattu ja osa suunnitteilla! Jos on muita vinkkei biletyksee nii kommailkaa ihmees;)

1. Klubit!
   -promoottorit on ihan ykkösasia. Ne on siis klubeilla töissä ja ettii niille oikeenlaisii asiakkaita, lähinnä naisia. Niiden kautta siis nimet listaan ja ilmasii juomii. Eikä tosiaankaa mitään halpaa siiderii ja litra tolkulla vodkaa ja erilaisii mehuja, koko illan. Ja kans oma sohvaryhmä jonne voi koko illan aikana palata istuskelee ja siemailee niitä juomia. Promoja saattaa siis tavata kadulla, varsinki iltasin jos näyttää juhliin menevältä. Lisäks paikallisilt kannattaa kysyy promojen yhteystietoi, niitä numeroita jakaa ihan mielellää muille kosk sun promo vaan hyötyy siitä:) Tälleen siis Lontoossa biletetään ilmaseks ja tyylillä! Ite oon testannu klubit Libertine ja DSTCKT, seuraavaks ois sit Rose ja Cirque du soir. Eile ois btw ollu jotkut tennis bileet.
  -toine tapa on tuntee pokeja tai ihmisii jotka niitä tuntee. Mun duunikaveri on töis jossai Chelseyn klubilla, sinne siis pääsen ja meil käy Bar Rumban poket aamukahveil eli sinne kans kävellen sisään:)

HUOM. Korot on MUST, viimeks tosiaan meijä edessä olevat ei päässy sisään ballerinoissa vaikka oliki listalla. Ne kattoo aika tarkkaan päästä varpaisiin ovella.

2.Kotibileet
  -Lontoos suhteet ja verkostoituminen on super tärkeetä. Tiiät yhen joka tietää yhen joka tietää yhen joka tietää yhen nii saat kutsun. Viime la oli tosi randomisti kotibileissä ja oli kyl superhauska ilta! Sieltä siis tunsin yhen jaq loppuillasta vaikka ketä. Pitää vaa tutustuu ihmisii ja olla rohkee, mikä on välil tällaselle ujolle tytölle välil haastavaa. Tykkään kuitenki haasteist nii mikäs siin!

3.Perhejuhlat
  -Au pairien ja muiden kavereiden kautta voi päästä viettää perhejuhlii. Me vietettiin just juhannusta yhessä varakkaassa perheessä, koolla oli siis naapurilapset, niiden vanhemmat ja nuoret. Viinii, pient naposteltavaa ja kakkuja riitti, tunnelma oli kiva ja puutarha mitä ihanin! Tosi söpö juhannus ihanan kotoisas seuras oli just sellast mitä oon kaivannu.

4.Shisha
  -Ei sitä juhlimiseks voi kutsuu mut hauskan chillin illan saa aikaa Shishalla, eli vesipiipulla. Shisha raflois ei uskontosyistä ees myydä alkoholii, mut shishaki nousee kyl päähän vaikka vesihöyryy onki. Makuja on paljon, mun uus lemppari on minttu omena. Meit oli tosiaa 4 jäbää ja 2 tyttöö ja ihanan mukava oma pikku sohvahuone tosi random paikassa Edgware Roadin kulmilla. En ois ikinä astunu siihe maailman pienimpää arabiraflaa sattumalt. Mut tosiaan sen salaisuus oliki maan alla oleva iso ruokasali ja se pieni privaatti shisha huone jonne meil oli suhteita. Shishan ohella voi nautiskella arabikahvei, mehui tai perus limui. Shishan tuoksu kyl pinttyy inhottavasti vaattisii ja hiuksii.

5.Duunibileet
  -Tääl työympäristö on aika olennaista. Monet pomotki usein bilettää alaisten kaa ja duunipaikois saatetaan pitää etkoi tai jatkoi. Mulle Starbucks on tarjonnu paikan hakee rakkolaastareit korkkarihiertymiin, paikan siemailla viinii alotteluiks ennen baarii sekä biletysporukan jonka ilta maksetaan tippirahoista. Samanlaist toimintaa tarjoo raflat, kuulin just et Nando's raflan työntekijät pitää siel välil henkilökuntabileitä sulkemisen jälkeen.

6. Grillijuhlat
  -Tosiaan kimppa-asuminen on tosi yleistä tääl ja koska monis asunnois on pihat, grillaaminen on yleistä. Meijän 11 hengen kimppäkeittiö ja piha herää eloon huomenna grilliuhlien merkeissä, eikä oo eka kerta. Kustannukset usein jaetaan keskenään mut loppuillasta tuskin enää lasketaa kenen tölkistä ottaa huikkaa.

7. Get together
  -Usein facebookissa monissa au pair - ja suomiryhmissä on kaikenlaisia yhteistapaamisia--piknikkejä ja suomi-iltoja. Niissä tapaa porukkaa ja saa kontakteja. Ite ei oo ihan aika riittäny mutta ehkä jooku päivä joinaan jollekki piknikille

8.Band Nights
  -jos tuntee yhenkää opiskelijan voi päätyy koulujen bileisii. Tällee on käyny mulle, tuun facen kautta kutsutuks kaiken laisii musabileisii ja muutaman kerran oon joinannu. Tosin ongelmaks on tullu ulkopuolisuus, koulut on aika tiiviitä ja kaikki tuntee kaikki..Mutta aina on jotain juttuseuraa löytyny, ja hyvä puoli tosiaan about 2 punnan sisäänpääsyt;) Suomen opiskelijakortti käy mainiosti todisteeks et on opiskelija, vaikka mullakaan ei oo sitä kalliimpaa eurooppakorttii.

9.Kesätapahtumat
  -usein ihmiset haluu tehä asiaoita porukalla. Mulle tuli ihan vaan "tutulta" viestii et ne lähtee porukalla Stonehnegeen johonki kesätapahtumaa jossa seurataa auringon nousuu ja -laskuu. Kuulosti kivalta mut junaliput oli kalliit ja bussi kesti liian kaua, lisäks varotusaika oli surkeen lyhyt. Mut tosiaan silmät ja korvat auki kuka menee ja minne, tääl voi helposti lyöttäytyy mukaan!

10.Keikat
  -Lontoo on musiikkikaupunki. Jos haluu vähän spessumpaa ku pubi pianistin nii tääl myydään hajapaikkoi superkonsertteihi halvalla, mm. Rihanna, Beyoncé ja Alicia Keys piti tääl kukin kolme keikkaa ja samana päivänä saa itelleen lipun helposti kojust tai usein myös porteilta. Ite tykkään enemmä vähän pienemmistä ja epä-showmaisista keikoista. Haluisin 22,50 punnan liput MGMT:n lokakuun keikalle ja tosiaan käytii maalis-huhtikuun vaihtees 20 punnal kattoo Beach Housen keikkaa. Hyde Parkis ois koht festarit jotka väh himottais mut kukkaro ei anna periks..

PartyBoat
 -tää on mun lauantai-plääni jote paljon en osaa kertoa. Thames-joella jarjestetään normiristelyjen lisäks bileristeilyjä, joiden hinta on jtn 20 punnan luokkaa ja siitä ylöspäin.  Hinnasta riippuu sisältääkö ilta juomii, ruokaa vai pelkkää tanssahteluu. Kesto on n.20-24, riippuu risteilystä. Muuta en vielä osaa kertoa, mut tiiän et paikalliset käy mm. niillä viettämässä synttäreitä;)

Täs siis pari vinkkii jos haluu ilon irti yö- ja iltaelämästä vähän eri taval ku istumal pubis bissellä.

The world's party city London has really opened its gates for me! Here's a couple of tips to have fun and enjoy the nights in London, most of them are tested by me, some of them are still under planning. If YOU have any other good ways to party in London, feel free to share it with us by commenting;)

1.Clubs
  -promoters are the key. They work for clubs looking for the right, wanted customers for clubs, mostly women (men follow after). So they offer you free entrance and free drinks for whole night. And drinks are not any ciders, mostly vodka and different juices to make cocktails. You enjoy ur drinks on your promoter's sofa area where you can return after dancing, dance on them sofas or just hang out and talk with people and make new contacts. You can meet promoters on streets, especially if you look good (wear stylish etc) or when its evening. You can also feel free to ask the numbers for some local people or friends of urs. Sharing the numbers just helps the promoters to do their job. Thats how you party in London for free and "stylish" way. Ive been partying recently in clubs called Libertine and DSTRK. My next destination could be Rose or Cirque du soir. Btw yesterday there was some tennis party that i was invited.
  -another way to get free in posh clubs is to know the security guys. My working mate has a second job as a security guy in club in Chelsey and also door men of Bar Rumba buy their morning and evening drinks in our Starbucks so we get there free as well.

!!!! Btw HEELS is MUST in London clubs. Last time i was out, some girls had their names on the list but didnt get in with flat shoes like ballerinas. Even if they wore dresses. They r gonna look at you from head to toe, so be aware!

2. Homeparties
  -In london its super important to make contacts. If you know someone who knows someone who knows who knows some one you can got invited. Last Saturday I was very randomly in a houseparty and had a great night! I knew only one guy but in the end of the night i knew nearly everyone. You must be open and brave to make contacts and small talk, which is sometimes difficult for a shy Finnish girl like me. But i like challenges so keep going ! ;)

3. Family fest
  -Knowing au pairs or other friends you might have a chance to join family happenings. We had a midsummer in amazing beautiful house with all the neighbours and family members and all. There were wine, snacks and cakes, atmosphere was nice and the garden so gorgeous. Such a lovely midsummer with different generations was so what i needed after a long time!

4.Shisha
  -Not as called as partying, anyway to have a chill and funny night u should try shisha, waterpipe. In those shisha restaurants they dont offer alcohol for religious reasons, but shisha makes you feel calm and chilled, even if its "just" a flavored steam. There are lots of flavours, my new favourite is apple-mint. So we were 4 guys and 2 girls, cozy little sofa room in a random place around the corner of Edgware Road. I would have never stepped to that small arabic restaurant randomly. But the secret of the place was a big dining room downstairs under the building with that private nice sofa room that we had contacts to get in. With shisha people can enjoy drinks like juice, coffees or soft drinks. The only minus is the smell of shisha in ur clothes and hair the day after...

5.Work party
  -Ur working environment is relevant in here. Many boss' party with their team and in working places they might arrange before - or after party. For me Starbucks is a place to get plasters when heels are too painful, its also a place to drink a glass of wine or another before clubbing and the people there is a family to party with, usually for free when spending tipping money and using everyone's different contacts. The same is happening f.ex in restaurant Nando's, i heard they're having staff parties sometimes after closing.

6.Barbeque
  -Well, flatshare is very common in London and because almost all the houses have shared kitchen and garden, people arrange barbeque parties sometimes. My 11 persons house is gonna have that next Saturday, but not for the first time though. We are gonna share the costs and eventually no one cares who drinks whose drinks..

7. Get together
  -Very often in different facebook-groups people arrange "get-togethers" like picnics or Finnish nights or sth.  In those happening you meet new people and get contacts. I havent take part of any of them yet, but maybe someday i end up to have a picnic or something.

8.Band Nights
  -If you get to know anyone in any school you might join the college or university parties. Like me, i met a guy from a music school and got into music events and band marathons. Sometimes there has been problems to feel me a bit outsider cuz everyone else knows each other, but at the end there's always some one to talk with and at least the bands have been amazing! Entrance is also always cheap like 2 pounds. Im using my Finnish student card. Even if i dont have the european card, just a Finnish one, it works without problems everywhere ive tried.

9.Summer Events
  -People wants to do things with a big groups, mostly. I got a txt from "someone i know" to join his friends to Stonehenge. There were some summer opening event, 20 000 people got togehter to see the sunset and sunrise. It sounded nice but it was expensive to travel there, i got too lil time to prepare for leaving, and by bus it would have taken too long to get there. So i missed it. Anyhow, here you should have ur eyes open and be updated of whats happening and join !

10.Gigs
  -London is a city of music. If you wanna have more special gig than a pianist or guitarist in a cozy pub, here you can buy cheap concert tickets that are left just before the event days. F.ex Rihanna, Beyoncé and Alicia Keys had each of them three huge concerts in here, and there where random tickets still left. You can try to get them from ticket stalls or in front of the gates. My personal favourites are smaller gigs without too much show. 22,50 pounds are the tickets for MGMT's gig in October. And yea i went to the gig of Beach House in the end of March, 20 pounds ticket. Music is very easy topic to talk about, gigs are good places to make friends. Btw, there's gonna be nice festival in Hyde Park soon, im interested but its too much for my wallet..

+1. PartyBoat
  -Thats my plan for Saturday so i cant tell much about it yet. Anyway, sightseeing is not the only thing to do on a boat on Thames, you can also join PartyCruise. It costs from about 20 and so on. With more money you can get drinks, food etc, otherwise its about "normal" clubbing. Thats all i can tell so far. And yea its not only for tourists (as we arent them eather anymore), also local people party there sometimes, for exemple on their birthdays or so;)



So those are my tips to spend nice wild and chill nights in London when you dont want to just stay in the small pub next to urs.

Zinkensdamm love

Yks paikka, mitä mä suosittelen kaikille Stokiksessa on Zinkensdammin kalliot! Sielt näkyy koko Stokiksen keskusta meren yli ja on ihana niin syksyllä, keväällä ett kesälläkin. Vaikka on suosittu paikka, vars.näin kesäsin, niin ei oo yhtään mikään turistirysä, vaan kaikki lähinnä paikallisii piknikillä, joten ihan rauhassa saa olla:) Ei oo kaukana Zinkensdammin metroasemasta, vaan 5min kävelymatkan päässä.

Lisäks metroaseman vieressä on söpö, pieni sushipaikka, jonka syntyjään japanilainen myyjä on sika kiva, joten sielt take away-sushit mukaan ja lämmintä päälle ja nauttii näkymästä ;) Ja jos ei sushii haluu niin vierestä löytyy myös ihan ruokakauppa, josta voi käydä hakee piknik-eväit mukaan.

// Ett ställe som jag rekommenderar jätte mycket för alla som besöker Stockholm, är Zinkensdamms berget! Där man kan se hela Stockholms stad. Det är härligt där både på hösten, våren och sommaren. Det är ett ganska populär ställe, inte något direkt turistställ, nästan alla är bara lokal människor som kör picnic där och man får vara hel lugn där :-) det ligger jätte nära Zinkensdamm tunnelbanstation, bara 5 minuter gång.

Plus brevid tunnelbanstationen ligger en liten söt sushi-restaurang, där säljer (och ägar också?) en jätte trevlig japansk man. Sooo take away-sushi med, mycket varma kläder på och njut av utsikten ;) Och om man vill inte köpa sushi så ligger det också nära en vanlig affär där man kan köpa picnic-mat med.
