Brick Lane on siis katu Shoreditchin sydämessä. Sinne pääsee kätevästi overgroundilla tai busseilla. Jos tubella haluu kulkee nii Liverpool Station on lähin. Matkan varrella Liverilta Brick Lane kadulle on muitakin kojuja, lähinnä itämaisia maahanmuuttajien pystyttämiä, myynnissä tavanomasii halpalaukkuja, kankaita ja koruja.
Brick Lane katu on tosiaan se ydin juttu. Sieltä löytyy sivukatujen vintage kaupat ja lisäks iso ja kuuluisa vintagetori marketin kellarikerroksesta, jossa myyjät ite paikalla myymässä oikeesti vanhoja aarteita eri vuosikymmeniltä.
Arskat on £8 luokkaa, aidot vanhat täl hetkel "in" olevat teksti pipot £10, hameita ja paitoi £5-15. Leviksii ja muita shortsei ja farkkui n. £10-35, käsityön tehtyi printtireppui n. £20. Ite löysin sähkönsinisen peplum mekon vaa £10 !!
Sit löytyy markettihalli, auki vaa viikonloppuisin ja parhaimmillaan se on sunnuntaisin.
Ruokakojuja on joka lähtöön: etiopialaisii kasvisruokii, sushii, espanjalaist, kreikkalaist, afrikkalaist....En oo ikinä paremmi tutustunu eri maide ruokakulttuureihi!
Kojuista ostetaan usein mix&match aterioita, eli £4-5 saa valita tietyn verran ruokaa, £5-6 saa valita kojun annista mitä vaan. Rajana lautasen koko, ruoka syödään usein kaduilla istuskellen tai lähel olevan aukion piknik pöydillä. Lisäks ulkoota löytyy chicken wingsei ja perinteisii burgereita, lähellä kans pubiruokaa ja pari itämaista raflaa joissa voi mm. shishaa.
Ruokakojujen lisäks sisämarketista voi ostaa kankaita, tauluja, julisteita, vaatteita, design juttuja ja must jännin koju oli ehk hiuksiin laitettavat höyhenet. Tytöt siis kiinnittää sun hiuksiin höyhennipun ja sen pitäis pysyä siinä parhaillaan 6kk, pesusta kärsimättä. Tollasta kaikkee!
Ulkona kadut täyttyy kans kojuista ja Shoreditchissä voi viettää vaik koko päivän. Lähellä on käsitöitä ja muita perinteisimpii torijuttui tarjoava kuuluisa Old Spitalfield Markets ja pari muuta markkina hallia. Myöhemmin päivällä niistä saa mm. leivonnaisia puoleen hintaan.
Lisäks musiikkifaneille olis siisti levykauppa, muistaakseni Rough Trade nimeltään, jos on levyi, kasettei, vinyylei ja oisko ollu kirjoi ja lehtiiki..Kaupast löytyy kans valokuvauskoppi ja kuvan voi jättää kaupan seinälle,joka onki täynny asiakkaiden ottamii kuvii.
Kaduilt saa ostettuu ihanii hedelmäjuomii! Sit joka sunnuntai pääsee seuraa livenä graffitien tekoo jossai päi shoreditchiä.
Ihan aseman vieressä on resunen aita johon saa ripustettuu rakkauslukon, romanttisen sillan tyylii mut vähä persoonallisempaa paikkaa. Aseman vieressä on kans dj't baarin terassil soittamas musaa. Kulman takana on vähä rakennusparakkien näkösis pikkukopeis pop-up storeja, mm. meikkifirmoja, one piece, vans ym vähän tunnetumpia ja hintavampia juttuja.
Ja vinkkinä shoppailijoille: kaduil jaetaa usein flaijereita joilla saa alennusta!
Mulle on usein suositeltu Shoredotchin yöklubeja/baareja, mut pakko myöntää et niillä suunnilla ei tullu 5kk aikana biletettyy..Luulen että baarielämää löytyy yhen aukion ympäriltä josta joskus kuulin. Voitte koittaa metsästää kartoist ja kysellä paikallisilta nii varmaa löytyy:)

Shoreditch. THE favourite place of mine and many others'. Chill hipsterbars, vintage markets, food stalls, street music, graffitis and bohemian stylish Londonish.
So, Brick Lane is a street in the middle of Shoreditch. You get there the easiest by overground or by bus. If you want to use tube, Liverpool Street is the closest station for that. On your way from Liverpool Street Station to Brick Lane street there are other stalls as well, mostly immigrants selling cheap bags, fabrics and jewellery.
Although, Brick Lane is THE THING. Walking along the street, also around brick lane, you find vintage stores and a big, famous vintage market in a basement, where people are selling theirselves. Staff are truly old and from other decades.
Sunglasses are usually £8, real, old and currently popular text beanies £10, skirts and shirts £5-15. LEVI'S shorts and jeans about £10-35, handmade print backpacks ~£20. I found recently blue peplum dress for only £10 !!
Nearby you'll find also market hall that is open only in weekends and at its best on sundays. You will find food from all over the world: Etiopian vege food, sushi, traditional Spanish, Greek, African...I have never get any closer to different food cultures than there!
In food stalls is usual to buy mix&match portions, with £4-5 you can choose something, with £5-6 you can choose anything that is offered on the table. Limit is the size of plate, normally food is eaten on the streets outside or at piknik tables nearby. Also you'll find basic food like chicken wings and burgers outside the market hall. In Shoreditch, like in any place in London, pub food and asian restaurants are also an option. In asian restarants there is usually opportunity to smoke shisha if you want to. That would be cheaper than in central.
You can buy not only food, but also fabrics, posters, clothes, design stuffs, paintings and my favourite stall sells feathers for hair! Women tie feathers and they will stay in ur hair even 6 months, in spite of showering. So those kind of interesting things!
During the day the streets outside will be filled of more stalls and you can actually spend a whole day in Shoreditch. In this area there is also famous Old Spitalfields Markets that offers more traditional products like handicrafts. You can still find some other halls in Shoreditch, and later they will sell bakery products on half price!
For the music fans there is a cool store, i think its called Rough Trade, that sells vinyls, cd's and cassettes. I think you'll find also some books and magazines in there. Little interest of the store is photoshoot "closet" where you can take photos. Many customers had left their photos on the walls and you can see a massive collection of them on the wall, and join them if you want to, by leaving urs there as a memory.
In the streets people sell fresh fruit drinks and smoothies! Every Sunday you also have a chance to follow artists creating graffities somewhere is Shoreditch.
Just next to the overground station there is a ragged fence that people have hung their love locks. Its a bit more personal place than "clisheish" bridge. Next to the station there are also djs playing music on a bar terrace. Behind the corner there are pop-up stores, more known and expensive, like One Piece, Vans and some cosmetics. Stores have been built in baracks, at least it seems like that.
And a little tip for shoppers: in the streets people are usually sharing discount flyers for vintage stores!
People have often recommended bars and clubs in Shoreditch. Im gonna admit that i never had time for a try during my 5 months in London. I think the night life in Shoreditch is located near the square i heard of. If you wanna try nightlife there, I recommend to ask from the locals that there is plenty of. They know always the best!
Why not to waste even one sunny Sunday forenoon around Brick Lane! Take some cash with you and wear chill and nice! ;)
